My clinical formation was entirely at CMC Vellore, and before completing my postgraduate training I had already been working alongside the OBGyn team at SDA Mission Hospital in Surat — a 150-bed hospital serving a largely rural population. That early exposure to independent clinical responsibility shaped the way I practise.

I spent twelve years at SDA Mission Hospital, rising to Chief Medical Officer and Head of OBGyn. Much of that time involved carrying full surgical responsibility without consultant backup — LSCS, hysterectomies, laparoscopy, and labour room emergencies — in a resource-constrained setting. That foundation remains central to my practice.

I have been consulting in Pune since 1999. Across four decades, my caseload has covered the full range of gynaecological and obstetric care — from high-risk pregnancy and emergency obstetrics through to complex laparoscopic and oncological procedures.
